This year’s DOUGLAS‘ challenge for beauty and health innovations gave start-ups and entrepreneurs the chance to either pitch their „Beauty & Health Product Innovation“, their „Beauty & Health Digital Solution“ or their „Sustainability Innovation“ to us and shape the customer experience of the future. Our finalists got the chance to either include their brand(s) in DOUGLAS‘ assortment or, after going through a review process, to cooperate with DOUGLAS. Among all finalists there was a special prize in this year’s edition: In collaboration with the branding agency Jung von Matt START, one start-up will got the chance to win a branding package (strategy & design) to work with to work with.

Congratulations once again to our outstanding winners of this year's BEAUTY FUTURES Challenge! The award in the “Beauty & Health Product Innovation” category went to Berlin-based start-up Dr. Vivien Karl for their intimate care products. FORMEL Skin convinced the top-class jury with its digital dermatology service and individual OTC skin care products in the category "Beauty & Health Digital Solution". With their idea of waterless and sustainable skin care in reusable terracotta sculptures, the Swedish start-up Oquist Cosmetics convinced the jury in the third category “Sustainability Innovation”.

The special prize in cooperation with Jung von Matt START was awarded to the start-up dermanostic, which offers dermatology advice via app. They will now receive a strategic branding and consulting package that will be tailored to them.

Beyond that, the start-up LĀNIN LABS was able to inspire our jury so much that they won a listing with NICHE BEAUTY as a special prize.
